Transfer embargoes until the summer for breaching FFP rules

I would have preferred a points deduction on top but its a start. Puts the Spurr and Brown transfers in a bit of perspective.

Can anyone confirm, is that an embargo on players leaving those clubs as well as arriving?

Reading the article Naith I would say the word embargo is an exaggeration - transfer restrictions would be a better term. They can transfer in on a one in/one out basis, and can transfer in if they have 24 or fewer players above 21 with 5 first team starts (so for example Browny does not count at Blackburn). However the incoming must be free transfers, and total cost including agents cannot exceed 600000 (12k a week on a years contract). No limits on outgoing players

Still it is a start

Browny & Sharp on loan anyone

It's a bit of a crock really.
They've already signed the players on they wanted for this season, and I believe the embargo only runs until next June, so they will be able to sign who they want for next season as well.

I think that's a bit of a result for all the teams concerned and won't be a deterrent to anyone

Sharp is 28 years old. He scores 1 in 2 in his good patches and 1 in 3 in his bad patches. We haven't had a striker like that for decades. Of course we'd take him back in a hearbeat.

Since 15th December 2011 Billy Sharp has played in 87 competitive games scoring 29 goals. A goal every 3 games.

How much do I win?

with the embargo i think brownie and sharp could be used as pawns for one in one out and we aint got nobody any of the teams involved want.qpr and burnley also under investigation but i dont think any punishment can come into force unless relegated
