Nice friendly response there Yargo.
I guess from your answer then that you DONT have the balls to ask him the questions yourself but would rather hide behind the keyboard.
Another one to add to the ignore list,(what other login name do you use)?Does anyone with a brain think my questions legitimate?

I wonder how long it will take before someone blames me for this spat :)

I'm sure PD realises most fans are disgruntled. Whatever may have happened in the past, it's what will happen from hereon that matters. From what I have heard, we are in a good position to progress next season, and what has been offered is a chance to question what is planned. I don't want to hear a high publicity "destination xxx" but simple clear plans to improve the club sustainably and especially the short term plans for improving the squad.

It's a fresh start.

Thing is, it's evidently not "full stop", it's part of an ongoing chapter. If you think you have a view on the future, you can go discuss it with him.

The writing is usually on the wall when the manager wants to confront the fans. DiCanio etc. We can hope!

I contribute like all Supporters ( since - 1969 get it ) and I feel let down by him as we had a squad of capable players and we had the opportunity to gain a play off place . He failed to he hasn't got it takes to lift the team when they need it or make the home crowd believe he is in control. To many bad results at crucial times , too many goals conceded early in games , not enough attention to shoring up the defence  when it was obvious to everyone else that we were just not confident or good enough to cope with most dead ball situations . It makes me wonder what match preparations were done on this . I have just renewed for next season and I can't for the life of me think why only that I can't just walk away when I have invested so much of my time and money into a club I  support since I was13 years old and what's looking more out habit than good since .

Our Chairman has gone and with it the clubs main vocal point and talisman .We barley have any home grown players in the side , our manager has not bought into the clubs youth team or given enough support to those players who could feature in games to further careers at the club.

Who used the word "confront"?

Apart from you?

Thing is lads, it looks like he's staying for the next season. Therefore you have three options.

1) Fervently hope that this works out and support manager and club.

2) organise a concerted attempt to get the message across that the fans do not want him. Canvass opinion. Organise opposition. Demonstrate at games.

3) moan like f**k on here every other day.

I reckon there's a few been doing that already and will probably continue to do so.

Yep, you can do that. And while you're at home, you can unstitch the "Rovers 'till I Die" motif from your shirt.

If we go a goal down in the first 15mins i can see a Blackpool like situation but with 10.000 Rovers fans chasing PD round the ground.   :woot:

Your metaphorical shirt.

I'm guessing your motto is "Rovers till we have a manager, a style of play and a set of results I don't like"?

Nar, more like "Rovers till I no longer enjoy it".. and under this clown I'm not.
Sorry if that upsets you BST, but I would say staying away rather than going and singing how shite we are (like some chose to do last week) is less harmful to the team.

How about just going and supporting the team?

New season = new start.  See how what performances and results we get before deciding to stay away?

I wonder how many keyboard warriors have got the gumption to meet the manager face to face. It's so easy to criticise and be faceless, stand by your statements if you can.

There are many times on here I have written an angry post in response to someone who has wound me up, but amended it before posting to reflect what I would actually say face to face.

I might be wrong here but I think this is the first manager in history who wants to meet fans face to face, and some are still moaning, ffs take up the option tell him ,he won't poke you in eye with a sharp stick listen to the man wish I could sit down with him that way I would get a  idea were the club wants to go. this idea must av had the backing of the club aswell surely so anyone on here want some answers go a long say what you think, you might learn something you might not, but at least take this option the club is offering

It's good of him to offer to meet fans who are not happy with this seasons performance, but in all honesty i don't think it's needed, actions speak louder than words, let's see how he get's on this season.
I have a rule for myself, if i wouldn't say it to the person then i don't say it, fans forums as a rule are not a good place for players or managers really, if there has just been a defeat, fans come on here to let off steam with other fans.

We make opinions out of small bits of information, the players and staff know more about the reasons why things went wrong, if i was a player especially after a defeat i wouldn't look on forums.
When you win don't go too over the top, or when you lose, your opinion should be formed over a longer period than one game, sometimes the tactics everything can be spot on and you lose to a stupid error or just plain bad luck .
Forums are for opinions otherwise there is no point, i don't think the criticism has been personal from what i have seen on here.

I have, where do I sign up? I have plenty of respect for him despite being hugely critical of his tactics and would clearly discuss and listen to his views.  I don't dislike the man, just the performance and results .

That is probably the most sensible statement about PD that I have read on here since his appointment..

I would happily have a conversation with Dickov. He seems a decent bloke, but I don't rate him as a manager. He talks a good game and I feel this is the only reason he's still in a job.
