Well we all know where all the money is going from Library cutbacks, disability allowance cutbacks, closure of places for disabled people et al, its to go in the coffers for fat cats and small sandwich types and to pay the outrageous monies for West Ham United new Stadium.......what a disgrace........

I agree that the West Ham subsidy is a scandal, but the real blame lies with Ken Livingstone and Tessa Jowell. They did not give sufficient thought to the future use of the stadium. Involving a football club at that time, whether it was West Ham or Spurs, would have saved a lot of money in the long run.

Now unless the taxpayer subsidies the redesign of the stadium there are two options. Maintain it as a costly white elephant or demolish it. Given the shortage of housing in London the latter option appeals to me, but I can imagine the outcry if it was done.
