Bring him back. Better than Lund in the position Lund is now playing

I take it you have seen him play at right back then?

Liam Mandeville was a second half substitute for Whitby Town in their defeat at Blyth Spartans in the FA Trophy.

Genuine question, when one of our players like Mandeville goes out to Whitby on loan (or like the lads who went to Scarborough), what do they do as regards training? I assume that Whitby only train twice a week whereas he'd be in training full time when at Rovers. Do they merely split their time between the two clubs or what?

Generally seconded - I think the same applies with our loanees too - a few sessions a week with us and one at their parent club - for assessment purposes usually - not a definite rule of thumb by any stretch - I s'pose it depends on where they are in the parent club thoughts, how long their loan is and how important a player they become to our cause!
As I said tho - don't think there's hard and fast rules - depends on individual circumstances!
For example I would imagine (but may be well wide of the mark) that alcock, stewartt and anderson train all week with us whereas mattioni and grant probably go back to everton at some point!

I know Rovers shouldn't try and dictate that our players out on loan play a full game, but you think that Liam Mandeville is best served not being a second half substitute

He played the full game on the Tuesday and I wonder if it was a case of managing his workload.
