SEVEN defeats in a row
« on March 28, 2016, 04:55:28 pm by mushRTID »
Massive Easter and walk away with 0 points. Horrific.

I'm torn on Ferguson, I like him but I do think he's been too ruthless at times and made huge mistakes. I'm not sure how a manager can survive this form, at any club.

I'd even take Dickov back over Ferguson.

Dickov was shite of course but there's no denying Ferguson is far worse.

Which bollox ? That thge managers are the problem not the players/Board  ? Ok let's get a 3rd or 4th manager in and have a further 2 demotions and still blame the managers ??

No I agree with you. The players get away with murder! Three managers have this shower of shite and still they're shit. But the bit that annoyed me was the fella saying he would have dickov back. That useless Kitson set the whole ball rolling of this capitulation!

I think most if not all want Ferguson to be successful but this form is dire and just about every other club would have sacked him by now. We have nose dived big time. Sod was sacked by Donny and more recently at Wallsall for much less. I do wonder what you have to do to be sacked at Rovers as Dickov outstayed his welcome massively.

So it wasn't Dickov that brought a load of shite in during pre season and it's not Fergie that has brought in a load of shite since he came! The board have supported their managers financially hoping the manager they have chosen to run the football side of the club knows what they are talking about! Unfortunately the 2 mistakes they have made have been the appointments they have made as manager!

Its only 1 with this board. Dickov was appointed by John Ryan, yes the others went along with him after the interview process, but as had been admitted and clarified by Dickov himself recently, it was John Ryan who asked him to come and be manager.

So that's acceptable then is it? Just the one?

I totally believe the Board want the club to be a success but I'm equally sure that with the personnel they have in the decision making positions there is a lack of football experience/knowledge.  It's time they had a director of football (please God... not Mickey Walker).

Definitely not Ince. And look at how Scunny are flying since they got shot of Mark Bobbins? Powell is a good shout though. Redfearn, anyone?

I don't like the idea of sacking him so quick and at first I liked him. But our run has been the worst in a long time if not ever.  You can't keep your job in this climate it's horrendous. He was brought in to get us out the league but not at this end.

Hard to see how he can survive.

I'm torn because I like him and still hope he can turn it around.

If we were to sack him the board would appoint Redfearn, no doubt. He was the favourite initially he was at the game today and was at the game against Peterborough also.

I'd rather stick with Fergie than appoint Redfearn.

Every week that goes by he is damaging his chances of building his own squad, though there was improvement today it was another game that we had a good chance of picking points up.
A lot of clubs would already have sacked him, but i think the problems have been mounting for some time, there doesn't seem to have been a plan on how we do things for a long time.
For me whether he gets the chance to still manage us next season, depends on how we finish this season.

If there are no encouraging signs, then the board have to decide can he do any better building a team from pre season, not an easy decision, but the results are making it easier for them to start afresh with a new manager.
As stupid as it seems, i don't think it's over yet, though unlikely we do have quality in this side, we just need enough of them doing it for each game.
Andy Williams is capable of scoring against anybody, Rowe is a decent player, Stewart has more than he is showing, Tyson is capable of weighing in with goals. I also think Lund and Middleton have good potential, they have to show they can do it consistently.

By the time they had gone through the interview process the season would be over anyway.......
