I'd forgotten what a towering talent he was on that there wireless, so I randomly dug out this off't internet. Wonderful stuff.

The b******s killed Kenny ?

I remember listening to the news that time when Mrs Marples wife of then Minister for Transport Ernest passed her Driving Test and KE piped up with a "well no surprise there then" type comment and I thought oh oh that's you cooked - and it was !

It just got me listening to his shows and the 'tube. I failed to appreciate at the time (perhaps I was a little young) what a talent he was, and now it's pretty damn obvious when compared to the (mostly) crud that's on the airwaves now.

Just listened to this one. It sounds like it could have been broadcast today but, equally, it sounds like it was from a million years ago - especially the news.

I was in a gay club in London (Heaven) in the early 90s with some mates and he was in there with his entourage,  about 20 of them following him around hanging on his every word. He had his pyjamas on. Strange attire for a Friday night out.

Well, he probably knew that he was on his way out and didn't give a frick about anything. He was odd/zany/gifted/genius, etc...

But it was all done "in the best possible taste"...

That character was called Cupid Stunt.  It was a couple of years before I realised the implications of that name!!!
