Anyone else feel like there is growth and excitement in the club for the first time really since SOD despite relegation? The club are signing quality players on ling term deals and we're building off the field too. It's all positive stuff.

Who is Andy Watson? I'm not sure I've come across him before.

Happy to see something being done at 'higher up' level though, it is clearly needed as much as a change in the playing staff.

He's a Rotherham fan, from what i've heard also.

I have always been a critic of the rovers board and to be honest a lot as not changed,if DF is staying and that seems likely then Blunt should have gone,I like the idea of young Watson moving up but I think he should have taken over completely not just vice chairman I think with Baldwin to guide him it would have shown a real intent, younger blood is what is needed.

One good player doesn't make a budget. Also the club haven't made any funds imidiatly available because he won't be getting paid by us for a couple of months.

Would you rather we paid him now?

The club as to grow,we've bottomed out far enough now, next season should be the start.
We have owners who have more money and assets than any other club in league 2, I'm not telling them what to spend.
We have along with Portsmouth have got the best ground, facilities and training facilities.
We must put together a squad that is capable of entertaining at home and get results, both home and away. The squad should be capable of getting out of league 2 automatically and be challenging for league 1 playoffs next season.

We've talked about developing young players, it costs money to get the right players that can go in to the first team squad.
It needs the right staff to not only get the best out of them at youth level but to develop them for first team action.

So it's interesting and positive to see the statement now comes the hard bit to put all the plan together. Which will improve the team, see younger players develop, get more supporters back through the turnstiles.

Actions starting on the field at the start of the season and off the field from now will show whether we mean what we say.
