Yes I was there that day. I think he went down and just calmly sat there until they stretched him off if I remember right.
I thought that he looked decent at the time.

My first game was in 1952, when I was 9 years old! Played Nottm Forest, drew 1-1. Can't remember who scored.............anybody?

We played two home games against Forest in 1952.

9/2/1952. Lost 0-1.
20/9/1952. Won 1-0 (Arthur Adey).

Ah, many thanks, RB! Must have been the match in September that started it off for me! I could have sworn that we drew the game; looks like dementia setting in.   .
Arther Adey, eh? I seem to remember that after leaving Rovers he went to play at Bedford Town in non-league. Didn't he play against Arsenal in the 3rd round of the FA Cup, when they (Bedford) lost 4-2?
