Are Portsmouth desperate or what "cheating *****"

lets just watch

http://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/competitions/league-two/10628668/portsmouth-1-2-notts-county

the highlights of the match at the end the notts county centre forward "SERIOUSLY FOULS THE POMPEY GOALKEEPER "  or maybe it was a blade of grass fouled the goalie ?

the player gets sent off -- fortunately notts county have a video of the "non event" that didn't happen

result the red card has been rescinded yesterday

possibly that's why the notts county friendly was postponed yesterday against rovers (manager busy ?)
now if the was no foul surely retrospective action should be taken against the goalie ??

pantomime season is not far away

atleast they didn't do this trick on rovers the other week

People of a nervous disposition should not read the following link:

The video doesn't show the incident with the keeper very clearly, so County must have had better footage. The referee doesn't appear to be looking at it so it must have been one of the linos who saw it.

Logically if the video shows that the keeper hasn't been touched then he should be charged by the FA. Then again, there doesn't seem any appetite amongst the authorities in this country (unlike Scotland) for dealing with players who set out to con officials. Pity.

I haven't been to Pompey for 30-odd years but it was a dump then and the fans were about as welcoming as Millwall's at the Old Den. Doesn't seem like much has changed.

And don't get me started on the attention-seeking knob with the bell!

Looking at that video the challenge was quite bad, and worthy of a card of some colour.

However there is no excuse for the 'keeper pretending to be injured if he wasn't actually caught?

The Sky Sports video makes it look as though he does catch the keeper. So County must have had some other footage.

On the basis of the Sky video I would say a card was warranted and although a red might be harsh, it wasn't incorrect.

the manager came out immediately in the after match interview and said he would be appealing because they had it on video and was confident of a u turn

that's why I kept an eye on it  to see what happened to the faker

by the way the "cook" is not too far from leaving the kitchen

http://www.nottinghampost.com/boost-for-notts-county-as-aaron-collins-has-red-card-overturned/story-29840680-detail/story.html

it just shows how hard it is for a referee

I agree on the final point, which is why the FA should take retrospective action against players who try to con referees.

How can fans of a club that employed Dave Kitson complain about other fans.
By the way when I went to Fratton Park in my replica shirt I had no bother in the pub or leaving the ground , and we'd just won 3-2.
Maybe it's because I'm a fossil.

Must be who you know not what. Down for my 60th on 1st October for the weekend. By coincidence a Pompey mate I know who works for the same organisation I do lives in Tickhill. His elderly parents are ill so he bobs down frequently. Totally by coincidence I got a text asking if I was at the match and if I was inviting me for a drink in the Fawcett Arms after as he had come down to see them and take in the match and consequently met his brother and their mates. In my brand new away shirt, no hassle, either in the ground or pub (apart from friendly banter) and even stopped by 2 fans telling me how well we had played. Couldnt fault my away day, and I only hope if I go again next season its in League 1!
