Finding £5 in the street is slightly different though.I've lost money from my pocket before and never reported it as I wasn't sure where it went and couldn't think that it would be handed in.My son has twice walked away early morning from bank ATM machines and forgot the money. Once his account was credited and once it wasn't.I have heard that if the cash isn't taken within 30 seconds the machine sucks it back in and cancels the transaction, don't know if it's true.
What about finders keepers losers weepers
I've never been lucky enough to find anything more than a couple of quid lying around in the street but here are a couple of things that have happened o people I know. What would you do here:1. A friend was using a public toilet in a town centre and saw an envelope hidden down the back of the cistern which contained £1k in cash. Assumed it was some sort of drug payment drop. Would you take it?2. Someone I know was following a scally on a trail bike (no helmet, lights etc.) down Sheffield Parkway when he saw some bits of paper dropping from the lad's pocket. Pulled over in a layby and picked up a few hundred quid in notes. Seemed to my acquaintance to be too much cash for the lad to have acquired honestly. What would you do?
