Alfie May

Name thrown at Fergie today by Paul Goodwin.

Says we are interested. 23 year-old Hythe Town striker who is apparently scoring for fun. Previously had a trial at Stevenage.

I wonder how many other strikers we have been linked with that had that scored for fun? Then we sign them and they could hit the proverbial elephants arse with a banjo?

He had a trial with us the other week didn't he? It's done him some good even if he's not signing - he's scored eight in four since he went back to Hythe.

Could be another one like Beestin. Not first team ready yet but a real prospect for next season.

Ha ha. Let's hope for a pair of Alfie's playing up front and scoring in the not too distant future.

Would be a hoot if the rest of the players changed their name by deed poll to Alfie to represent "The Northerners!"

isn't this thread old news I did the joke about no hything place a couple of weeks ago -- surely their can't be two strikers in "hything"
