And hungrier.  They've always had dreams of coming to a "big club" . We are that to them. The prem kids could potentially  see us a backward step if their attitude was wrong.

Also, let's not forget we stole Garratt from a higher level club. :)

Ben Miurhead's had a great career after leaving Man U hasn't he.
A lot of lads think that they have arrived after being signed young by a big team.
Remember Harry Worley tweeting " Form is temporary, class is permanent".
Worked out well for him after Chelsea.

We are doing both aren't we signing a few young lads from lower down hoping to make the step up.

And also trying to sign players like Connor Grant from higher clubs both show the club is willing to roll the dice and take a gamble.

If the players out grow the club unbelievable but it does happen the we could make a nice profit, hence the club starts to become sustainable. Hopefully fergie stays with us for a long time he could lead us all the way.

I saw something a couple month ago where Darragh MacAnthony said he'd be reluctant to take a Premier League youngster because they're usually arrogant, demand more money and used to a completely different culture. They demand to be in the team even when they're not great because they're ex-Premier League. I guess starting lower down makes them more humble and cheaper.

Wabara is a prime example of this

I wonder if Lee Luscombe the goalkeeper coach and a former player of ours recommended him to Russ Wilcox?. Nicknamed 'Kaka' at Runcorn.
You have more chance of a hard working attitude when they come from non league overall.
We can go after non league players and premier league releases. Ferguson i suspect looks into the personality of every player he signs wherever they come from.
We've needed to work like this for sometime. We can compete if we are good at finding the better players and developing them. Not every one will work out but with the amounts you pay to teams lower down for players, you can afford to take the chance.

One other benefit that this sort of thing has is on our existing youth players. It really does show them that unless they knuckle down then they could easily be gazumped by some young hungry lad from non-league.

Lee Luscombe... That name always brings back fond memories. He turned into a world-class player on Championship Manager '93-94.

He was definitely a winger when he was here. Maybe he was a decent goalkeeper on the side.

I was over the moon when we signed him - I thought he was gonna be quality - he did ok for us but sadly I felt flattered to deceive a bit!

I don't suppose you have to be a goalkeeper to become a goalkeeping coach.

It surprised me i thought surely it's got to be him that isn't a common name. It's the first timer i have known a former outfield player become a goalkeeper coach.
