Kid who worked with us years ago had his nicked from house at Wheatley Hills police found it a few days later by the time he got to it, it had been nicked again

Its always the good guys that get clobbered,I hope he gets the car back without any damage done to it.
  Its not the best way to promote living in the Doncaster area is it.
 

Not a chance he will see the car again - the Police won't even bother looking for it.

I had a vehicle stolen in Hatfield in April. Reported it to the police, never heard a thing until last week...

"Hello Sir this is Anna calling on behalf of South Yorkshire Police.we are just ringing regarding a veichle that you reported missing on the 8th of April "

I nearly jumped out chair in excitment and shock.

"We are just wondering if you would like to complete a phone survey on how you feel the police dealt with your case"

Well, they never found it!! 

Perhaps they think it's the best use of their scarce resources to canvas people on what they think of their underperforming, under-resourced service.
