Why not?

A decent player at this level for our squad to practice against/with.  Also despite him not being re-signed, allowing him to train and helping him find another club breeds goodwill - how many signings are influenced by player recommendations?

Also a pair of legs that stopped us having to potentially over play someone before their fitness was ready.
