Good evening Rovers supporters!

Free Kicks Foundation are a Peterborough-based charity and this season we are the Posh’s official charity of the year. Their game against Doncaster Rovers has been designated as ‘Free Kicks Day’, with many fundraising activities planned for the day to help us raise funds and awareness.

We are a small charity and we raise money in order to provide days out at football matches for disadvantaged children at clubs all across the country. Over the last ten years we have arranged for many children from your own Bluebell Wood hospice and Barnardos Young Carers group to be Rovers mascots and are proud to have developed a great working relationship with the club’s hospitality team. We always get a wonderful reception when we visit the Keepmoat and everyone there makes sure the mascots are treated like royalty to give them a day to remember.

On January 1st there will be the usual bucket collections etc but we are also looking for a Rovers fan to go head to head with a Posh fan on the pitch at half time in a ‘Chip in the Skip’ competition. The sponsors of the challenge, Mick George, have promised to donate £20 to us for each goal scored, so if you fancy helping us raise a few quid, please message us and get in touch!

Anyway, we just wanted to let you know in advance what was happening on the day, we look forward to welcoming those of you travelling to the ABAX Stadium on New Years Day.
