Some of you will recall the Tory Defence review of 1982. That involved a significant down sizing of the Royal Navy, I believe John Knott was the Tory in charge. Up popped the Argentine Govt who offered to take ten ships off our hands ,including The Aircraft Carrier, Bulwark and the Amphibious assault landing ship Intrepid.I believe we even gave them a loan to buy the ships off us. Any way the plan was to get hold of the ships in Argentine Ports and then invade the Falklands. As things turned out Galtieri couldn't wait as his Government was on the brink of collapse, so they invaded early. We all know the out come. Some folks knock me for being a history buff but we are about to make an epic mistake of equal proportions to Knotts.Tory idiots get yourselves sorted before it's too late and the damage is done.
