A true footy fan on the radio.

Lots of people on this site don't bother listening to  Radio Sheffield ( for various reasons and I'm not here to reopen that discussion.)
It was simply to make you aware of a Chessy fan called Pete who was on the show tonight. He's been following them for 65 years through thick and mostly thin. He came and announced he had a terminal illness and that he won't be around for next season.
Effectively his last wish was to try and unite the small band of loyal fans to stick together after he's gone and support the club. RS have now confirmed with Chessy that he will be carrying the matchbsll to the ref for the final home match. His closing words were  I will support them till I die.
Puts some things in perspective boys and gals.
