It’s not that odd. Viera didn’t want to come for the money offered, it’s been reported we offered him a deal so it obviously wasn’t what the lad wanted.

To say it was definitely the money is a bit of a stab in the dark. Could be one of a number of other reasons.

We need a better midfield player so if we couldn’t come to an agreement then that’s it.

Put that money to a player on loan that can go straight in the first team.

I tend to agree,  will see which player or players he brings in.

A week or so ago he said he’d offered him a deal that had hit a snag but should get sorted out.

With the same certainty I could claim that his brother leaving the country has unsettled him. Giving further weight to that is that it's already been stated that one reason Leeds signed him was to help his brother settle in.
