I can't believe it's suddenly shut down after all these years; especially when the new premises have only been there a few years. It's a sad reflection of the times we're living in, when pubs, clubs, cinemas, and theatres are just diminishing.
Unfortunately, this is one of the consequences of the internet; that along with cheap booze from supermarkets.

18 Pubs a week at the moment still going under cos times are changing !
I actually went out last night to the Pub and there were only 5 to 6 people on average through the few Hours I was there.
Thursday used to be the start of the Weekend for Pubs but with too many attractions chasing too few Pounds something has to give
I was horrified when Beer went to 10p a Pint and it meant I only got 10 Pints for a Quid - and worse when it went to 12.5 p and it was then 8 Pints for a Quid.
Working that out on my Inflation Calculator it (10p) scales up to £1.47 a Pint now so there we have a major contributor with beer in a cheap Place almost double that (ok Wethers is around £2 or a bit more) and in some places £3.30.
Dread to think what its like in The Smoke now but I am off to Man City Weds night so that may be a shock too if I have a couple before the Game - £4 maybe ?

I remember the extortionate price of beer at Wembley when we spanked L**ds. I begrudged paying that much, but it's about the same price at the Keepmoat now if I'm not mistaken!
