Double whammy
« on December 26, 2018, 06:14:40 pm by scawsby steve »
As well as today's atrocious result, I woke up this morning with the worst chest infection and flu-like symptoms I've had for many years; I'm burning up, aching all over, and when I try and cough it feels like it's creasing me in two.

It could have been a triple whammy had I bought train or coach tickets and a match ticket, which would have been a waste of money; that's something I've always dreaded happening.

I can beat that - it took me nearly 4hrs to get there although I did make it just in time for kick off, I watched our worst performance of the season. To cheer myself up I thought I’d take my son to see the sights of Blackpool - all the illuminations were turned off and it was too foggy to see the sea or the tower (apart from the red light on top)
Under pressure to get home to join in a family party I chose to go down the M1 (I always use the A1) I drove straight through an average speed check without realising and a bloody camera flashed me
Now I have to wait to find out my fate
If I followed my wife’s advice (why don’t you stay home today) I would have had a better day

Strangely still glad I went though
