Pubs in the smoke on Friday?
« on May 15, 2019, 08:29:15 pm by Donnyjim »
I wondered what pubs our fans were planning on going to before the game? Are there any near the ground taking away fans?

My mate has suggested we go Greenwich. No idea if that’s a good idea or not.

MPS have tweeted to say there's no nearby pubs. See below;

Doncaster Rovers supporters heading to The Valley on Friday for the play-off 2nd leg match please note that there are no away pubs near the ground.  The closest pubs are in Greenwich or London Bridge.
Turnstiles open at 1815hrs. Have a safe journey down. @drfc_official

Would suggest heading around London Bridge. Direct trains from there to Charlton too.

As usual then, yet on Sunday they had the run of the town and those wearing Rovers colours were turned away from pubs in their own town. Pathetic.

I'd avoid the Rose Of Denmark just around the corner from The Valley .

The majority of their fruit loops congregate in there .

London Bridge and Greenwich. Isn't this the fixture where Rovers turned up at London bridge and smashed a pub up with German fans last season?

The Mitre right in the middle of Greenwich (near the market); buses to the ground - ten minute journey for £1.50 #177 or #180 from stop F on the map, on the A206 (Nelson Road/Romney Road)

just here (map)

Greenwich is a good place for a few beers. I’m heading there from Canning Town before the game
