For the club to be bringing in two young talented players for over a million quid each and a third possibly for over £2m in one window would be unthinkable in recent times .

Not only that the club and more importantly are remaining within  budget .

As I said earlier this has been a long hard road with plenty of pain along the way .

It's starting to make sense now , if this young lad from the German league does sign he will cost us £2.3m but the thing is if he develops as a very decent championship footballer he could end up leaving for £10m to £15m which then totally changes the club's dynamics .

I do take the point that it can go the other way too and he could totally bomb but that's all part of the football beast , it's when they bomb and you couldn't afford them in the first place would be more of a worry .

The club are trying to bridge the too good for league one and falling short in the championship which is where we have found ourselves since 2002 in all honesty .

Obviously there are no guarantees but at least the club have identified a niche way of going about it and despite the pain they have to be applauded .

It's easier for Barnsley they get 5000 more fans in every week than we do. So probably an extra 2 million just on gate receipts season tickets probably more
