The criticism of Silent Majority is unwarranted, someone who puts in a lot of time and energy to attend meetings to represent us the supporters not just at this club but on the national supporters scene as well.
When you keyboard warriors are cuddling up with your teddy in bed thinking of your next put down, or in some cases being jealous of his contacts and standing in the game, just think where we would be if people like him had just stood back and let things jog along when it mattered to this club, you wouldn't have a club to moan about.
There’s no cuddling of teddies fella. They’ve thrown all the f**kers out the cot!!😂

Cheers selby, thanks for the support.

Some people just have no idea what I do, or others in the fan network that work tirelessly on behalf of supporters up and down the land. Somebody last night claimed I wouldn't criticise the club because I may lose my privileged position. How laughable is that? Privileged position? If this is a privilege I'd hate to see the alternatives.

Just as an aside, so far this morning I've read through the latest document from the SGSA on the advice they're giving to clubs about licensing of stadiums and the enforcement of the all seater rule, that took an hour, I've spoken to South Yorkshire Police about our early kick off's, about a meeting we've got scheduled for the middle of august, about a road closure in Barnsley which means supporters will have to change their route to Oakwell and how to communicate that. I've also exchanged emails from the Safe Standing group within the FSA and taken calls from a couple of DRFC supporters.

I've done that and done my normal day job, yet people call that a privileged position. I wish.

It's just frustration mate..Our fanbase is worried about what direction we are going in.Weve lost so much and added so little and with the season about to start people are hearing a lot of ambition talk but not seeing much action...Of course 3-4 signings before the window shuts and everything changes again..
However if the window closes and we've only added a couple then the board have some serious questions to answer...

Conservative growth is the best way forward, no one wants a boom and bust cycle.

One's response to the vicissitudes of life as a football fan says everything about your personality.

As Albert Camus said, "All that I know most surely about morality and obligations I owe to football."

Some folk respond to problems  with a stoic determination. Some bawl like bairns who've been told they can't have ten ice creams and a bag of crisps.

Got to agree with you it's a joke but no more than were used to supporting the rovers , joke of Yorkshire ,
Go and support someone else then
I knew that was coming , I am not entitled to my opinion , please tell me are you happy with our squad and would you say it's stronger than last season's with 2 days to go ? You go and support another club or are you happy to just turn up each season and expect nothing , a fan than is happy to just have a club

Are you sat in a room with 5-6 others off this forum , all bandying around ideas on how to get a rise ...... I don’t for one moment believe you can all feel this way, it’s unhealthy and unnatural....like a creepy den of malevolence...
If you have been following the Rovers for any number of years you should be well aware that we do business like this,..we have rough and smooth periods, and that has been par for the course for as long as I can remember....
Anyway I’m not having a go at any of you’s..... I just don’t get ya’s

Press says only some of the money will be given to Moore. We won't be going out splashing the cash. It'll be the same out of contract players and loans that we are used to.

I don't care what the press says, the club will be putting all the money into team funds.

So we will be spending 2 million on top of the allocated "top 6" budget?

Who says we've pocketed £2m?

And why put top 6 budget in parentheses? Just another dig I suppose.

That's the only figure I've seen mentioned. Or are the free Prees lying to us?

Did the Free Press quote £2m?

Yes

No, the Free Press suggested it was approaching £2 million.

Nobody in the right mind expects us to go out and sign a £2 million striker to replace Marquis. I think fans would realistically like to see the money reinvested wisely in the squad, hopefully in a number of good players that can grow and develop with us in the way that Marquis has. That’s certainly what I’m hoping for.

I just wonder how the free press would know (we understand) what the fee was when it was undisclosed.
