Early kick offs
« on July 29, 2019, 01:04:49 pm by silent majority »
I know nothings been confirmed yet, but if you are planning on being at the two home games against Lincoln and Rotherham, and need to make travel plans or alternative work arrangements, I would certainly plan on these two games being early kick-offs.

No surprise and ultimately pointless.

Thanks SM - going to Lincoln game and taking some Imps fans from work.  Was planning on going to Bawtry beforehand for some snap, but may have to can that if early kick-off.  When is it likely to be announced

I'm guessing their fans will be given the run of the town centre again, while Rovers fans get turned away from pubs.

Any update on this - may have to cancel if it's going to be early KO

Another excuse for SY OB to coin in more unnecessary OT.

The Rotherham match falls on an international weekend and Sky have chosen to broadcast the Bolton v Bury fixture on the Sunday. They may be scratching around for alternative game the way things are for those two clubs.

It's much, much, more complicated than that. And your comment does show a degree of misguided stereotyping.

Well my discussions with SYP and DRFC have so far led me to believe that it's inevitable, but nothing is 100% just yet.

Thanks SM - I'll give it a few days to see if DRFC let us formally know - but guess I will have to plan accordingly...

I was hoping that the Rotherham game is an early K.O because I would like to go to Scarborough post match to see the Honda gold wing night/light parade.

Looks like thats 2 games out of my Season Ticket I'm now gonna struggle to get to due to work. I bought one for the first time in ages this year knowing I'd be good for nearly all 3pm / 7.45 home games.

Thanks a lot SYP. Why can other forces manage it but not us?

Not happy.

As I've already said it's a lot more complicated than that and isn't automatically a SYP thing.

"The changes are at the request of South Yorkshire Police" ... as I was saying previously.

That's a bit unfair of the club to report that in that way. As I said, it's more complicated than that.

Will it be early KO's for the away legs for the same reason then?

I'm assuming so. But until we meet as the SYP Independent Advisory Group and go through the games that are being rearranged then I can't confirm that.

if this has been request by the police to bring both kick offs early, why on the 10th august is Rotherham v Lincoln 3pm no logic

Rotherham game is international weekend. Probably attract a load of Donny whites who fancy some trouble as well.

Probably end up on sky this

Is Rotherham and Lincoln a thing though? I know we have a bit of history with Lincoln but obviously I don't really follow Rotherham's rivalries...

I heard it's being moved to the Friday evening.
