Au contraire, au contraire. You can be as sorry as you like but it could actually bring prices down for away fans too.Fans of the big clubs would make a massive fuss if they had to pay thirty odd quid to come to places like the KM and people would have to listen when their local radio stations were bombarded by them complaining. Also, who says I would delight in seeing opposition fans overcharged?I do object to being ripped off though when I am an away fan.

How can you object to being ripped off as an away fan, yet think a policy that would see you ripped off as an away fan is the way forward?

Leeds paying £36 today. That Barnsley policy is a good idea. When such as Leeds or Sheffield Weds or Ipswich start complaining about what they have to pay on away days maybe their own clubs will have to review how much they charge away fans themselves.

People pay £55 to go to alton towers or pay in excess of £100 for a concert ticket , it's all about what you are happy to pay i would not have gone if it was £30 but rovers charge £23 for away fans not much.difference

All they did was apply the Category A pricing to that fixture on Saturday. That also meant that loyal Barnsley fans also had to pay the increased cost of £36 for the game. It's not a good idea, I hate category pricing, and it's something we persuaded our club to stop doing many years ago.

Does not apply to me any more but my long held grumble with Barnsley and others is that their Concession age (upper) was 65 the last time saw it - whereas ours is a very generous but not unique 60So a 60 year old BFC fan can visit Keepmoat and get a concession Ticket at a very good rate (5 Seaons in a row) BUT because they operate a 65 yo Concession age at Barnsley a 60 year old Rovers fan would have to pay the "normal" Ticket price for the same 5 SeasonsSo will they equate that anomoly ? I doubt it
It would be interesting to see the breakdown in demographic across the ST holders at Rovers; i.e what number are aged 18 and under and what percentage that is of the total and the same for over 60’s etc, etc. In my mind I always think Rovers have a larger proportion of supporters over 50, those numbers could prove me wrong though.
I presumed our turbulent past would be mirrored in the attendance demographic. Such a shame. I’m 32 and I don’t know many others of a similar age that follow Rovers, and neither do I ever really notice many thirty-somethings at the games.
I'm 31 nearly 32 so there are a few of us. I suspect you guys like me found hat mates you went with as teenagers mostly left the town for work hence no longer attending.
