The first insult was by you!  I simply responded in kind.

But if you want a well though out argument here's a few FACTS for you.
 
It's an absolute disgrace that, in one of the highest economies in the world people HAVE to rely on foodbanks. We're talking about people who are so poorly paid that they have no option.  Ignore the crap you read in the likes of the Daily Mail, Sun and Express about them being too lazy to work; we're talking about people who have jobs that are poorly paid, people on zero hour contracts, people who - for whatever reason - can't find work.
 
Have you read the governments publications, code named Yellowhammer? They are freely available to read on the governments web site.  They detail what the government expects to happen as a result of No Deal and they don't paint a very good picture at all.  That's not 'project fear' that's what the government expect to happen if we leave the EU with no deal.  The economy will slump, (why do you think a number of very rich people have Shorted the pound to the extent of billions expecting to make a fortune when the pound drops after a hard Brexit?), meaning those already struggling will be even worse off and there will be more people falling into the poverty trap and thus needing foodbanks.

A lot of people make remarks that it’s for the homeless winos in town, I’m sympathetic to people that end up on the streets because of different circumstances but my volunteering was targeted at NNK’s above quote. Poorly paid, hard working, decent people with young families.

And a great job you and your team are doing too Jimmy.
 
But with what, around 6,000? home supporters at each home game just imagine how much more could be done if every one of them brought just one tin to each game; or chucked just 50p into the bucket. I'd suspect it's so little in the scheme of things for most supporters yet would be most helpful to those living on the breadline.
 
Is there any way in which the club can promote your collections to prompt further donations?

We are on the official Rovers pages as a recognised group.
I would love Darren Moore to come along with a carrier bag of groceries to have a photo with us but I know that he’s a bit busy from 1.30pm till 2.40pm on a Saturday.
Copps came along last season when he wasn’t in the squad, and maybe a player could show his face.
Sometimes I think that we must be an embarrassment to our fans because a lot of our supporters give us a wide berth and might be scared of tripping over the collection bucket and dropping 50p.
We do have lovely regular donors that also appreciate what we are doing and it’s nice when the away fans stop for a chat with us.
