Thanks albie, my dad will love this!

I won't bore everyone with the details, but he remembers this era of the Rovers quite well, better than his children's or grandchildren's names and has no memory of the Keepmoat, despite attending nearly every home game for the first ten seasons it was open.

5 games in 17 days, and a 16 year old made the difference.

Many years ago when I was a sales rep, I popped into the post office in Birdwell one a Thursday afternoon.
Charlie Williams was in there chatting away to the cashier.
I joined in and told him I was a Rovers fan.
We were still chatting twenty minutes later and he had me laughing my socks off.
What a funny and likeable bloke he was.
