A bit more light hearted
« on November 22, 2019, 09:52:32 am by Ldr »
I'd be interested to have a thread to see where people see themselves on this political spectrum against where others perceive them on it. Only for those you don't know personally as that will influence perception.

For example

I see myself as centre to centre right, with a hint of Blairite.

BST I see as centre left.
BB I see as bordering far right
Sydney I see as very left wing
Wilts I see a bit further out than Sydney
Foxbat I see as a Marxist revolutionary
Filo is mid to far left (with a pathological hatred of Tories)
Hound I am unsure of

Please no nastiness just perceptions.

I see myself as centre-right, a bit like yourself LDR
BST I see as centre-right but in denial
Sydney I see as extreme left-wing
Wilts I see as over the line left wing, where the linesman stands
Foxbat I see as stood at the back of the stand
Filo I see as centre-right but in denial
Hound I see as centre-right

I see myself as neither right nor left, but as a nationalist. I would like to see all Britons working for the common good and betterment of our nation.

I don't think it's as simple as a 1-D spectrum Ldr.

I see myself as very far to the Left on domestic issues: the relative role of State to Private Sector for example. But I'm a million miles from Corbyn on most defence and foreign policy issues.

At last something that we can agree on, that some people can't be put into specific boxes. When it comes to the economy, I'm probably on the left, seeing as in my lifetime things like railways and utilities have been run much better by the State than by private companies.

However, when it comes to issues like law and order, and foreign policies, I'm probably more to the right.

Sydney, genuine question mate. Is your name actually Sydney, or do you live there?

Then why on Earth would someone living in a beautiful country like Australia be interested in the politics of a f*cking sh*thole like modern Britain?

The politics of Australia are very similar to the UK, we have a msm heavily biased to the right and a lot owned by Murdoch of course, the labor party here is probably best described as Blairite but got trashed by the media for trying to reduce welfare for the rich and lost the election. The government we have is on the right with a far right coalition partner.

I often get told that you can take the boy out of Doncaster but cannot take ........ by some that know me well.

I hate inequality.

A 'social activist' I think best describes me.

I always fancied moving to Australia back in the day but lacked the qualifications.  I wish I'd had the foresight of Sydney and gone there when all you needed was a criminal record.

About 2 years ago I spent some time in Earls Court and it was like being in Melbourne or Perth with the amount of Aussies there. They seemed to prefer Britain on the whole.

One man's perception of brilliance is another man's Jeremy Corbyn.

Me and BST could become the new Eric and Ernie of the Viking site, but I doubt he'd agree.

Wise decision.
