No. The alternative, and much more credible position, is that such an unlikely thing has to be proved to be genuine. The balance of probablity favours it being fake. So proving it true has to be the action if anyone is fool enough to actually believe it to be true.

Aye. I would’ve expected a forensic investigation into the authenticity of Diane Abbott’s footwear to be topping the national agenda right now.

Her efforts will probably be channelled towards repaying the continuing faith that her constituents put in her, rather than proving her innocence of this charge.

That post of mine was directed to Bob G. who suggested to us all that the photograph has to be proved to be genuine.

BST, I think that the non lefties among vsc posters just got sick to death of being told by some of the Labour supporters, that anyone who didn’t vote Labour were nutcases and would be doing themselves and the Country a huge disservice.
From a personal point of view, as someone without any political allegiances, I resented those assertions.
