Thought he had an excellent full debut. Didn’t put a foot wrong in my view. Solid. Got stuck in and delivered some decent balks from set pieces. Some nice footwork too.

Well done.

He's started a couple of games before a few seasons ago (under DF i think) and was good then too. That was part of the reason a few people we surprised he hadn't started earlier

A few incomplete passes and controlled it out of play in the first half but it’s similar to other players in the squad.

Decent performance, hoping to see him attack more in future games. Understand it was his opportunity and probably didn’t want to risk leaving his position incase it lead to a potential goal. His delivery seems decent from corners/free kicks too!

IMO he should have played at Left Back instead of Cameron John, who should be given a game or to in central midfield

Why would you play Cameron John in Central Midfield, he's a CH for goodness sake???

CJ isn't great on the ball. Definitely just a center back.

With lokilo pressing for inclusion in the squad and pushing out CJ it looks like Amos will get a bit of a run.

Isn’t that a job for Whiteman, Gomes and Sheaf.

I thought that Amos had a bit of a struggle against the right side of Wycombe attack in the first half hour or so but once that was sorted out he grew in confidence and showed that he can become a good player for us.
The two or three corners that he took were all put into good areas, one resulting in Anderson’s header being cleared off the line.
In Reece James absence I would like to see him get a run in the team.

Not his debut PDX he has started previously for us.
Thought he did ok. Certainly more comfortable than CJ in that position.  Don’t understand why it took DM so long to see it.

CJ will be a top player but at centre back not left back.

Extra Insurance, really, waste of a position on the pitch if you did that. Don't think our two CH's need cover, they've been solid all season. Anyway, John is CH and plays better with the game in front of him, next you'll be saying he can play in goal lol.

Amos's full debut was against Oldham in 2018. We had a midfield diamond of Blair, McCullough, Whiteman and Houghton, who now all mostly play defensive midfield so obviously that ended 0-0. Amos has made 808 mins for us in total.

Jesus. Those glorious days where Ferguson played Blair on the left side of the diamond, Houghton on the right and Whiteman at the point.

Never known a manager so perfectly combine an ability to spot a talented player and a determination to play them in formations designed to make them look cack.
