No they didn't. By working out the ppg, they have effectively extrapolated the points deductions, as well as the points earned. Its one thing to assume the seasons points earned will be at the same rate as the points earned to date, but to apply the same principle to points deducted for penalties defies logic.

It said on the radio that it was for late payment of wages all players and staff have been paid fully.... Where's the problem I'm sure there's a number of other clubs that have done this but not had a  adduction  of points or maybe the efl just want rid of a club we're there's 1 problem after another

If that is what they have done, it's an even more batshit decision than the one that ridiculously put Wycombe in the play-offs.

So if Macc can be punished this season, why have Wendies had their punishment held over to next season?

Decent write up here;
https://twohundredpercent.net/stevenage-enormous-strokes-luck/

Macc have been poorly run, and late payment of wages should be punished.
If it has been resolved, then a cash flow problem is nowhere near as serious as the stadium shenanikins at the Wendies, to evade the rules.

It looks like 1 rule for the bigger clubs, and another for the minnows.
Poor!

Didn’t Macclesfield allegedly owe Sol Campbell about £150,000 in unpaid wages etc.
I wonder whether that ever got paid.

Although I think (my opinion) it is right to deduct points from Macclesfield it’s shows how skewed things are. So they were deducted points for failing to fulfill a fixture - now where have I heard that scenario before.
Also puts the wendies case in the spotlight

Very harsh on Macclesfield. Bolton should have been booted out of the league for all their histrionics at the start of the season.

Lifes too short for me to bother reading all the stuff but appears the smaller Clubs get hammered again and others go scot free (ish)

They seem to have applied the Points deduction to Macc to make it hurt NOW - and they probably have dererved it but why then have the Owls escaped being punished NOW as well

Deducting them Points because of a Rule breaking should apply the same as in NOW as it would have relegated them and saved some Club which has operated (as we know) without breaking the rules

However - the Points were not deducted from Wednesday and so they were saved but start at minus 12 and by no means will that be fair if they stay up (all imo)
