It's all kicking off in la la land...
« on September 29, 2020, 09:01:32 pm by wilts rover »
...to borrow a phrase from another estimed poster.

This evening the government whipped the Tory Party to reject a clause to the Internal Market Bill: 'requiring Ministers to respect the rule of law and uphold the independence of the Courts'

Quite a number of Tory MP's are barristers, solicitors and other members of the legal profession, among them the Lord Chancellor and Attorney Generals for England and Wales. Who should now all immediately resign from the Law Council where they swore on oath to uphold and protect the Law.

Tonight Cummings/Johnson's Britain offically became a banana republic along the lines of Mugabi's Zimbabwe. The government is not subect to the law and with no idependent judicary you lost your right to a free trial.

You have to see this in the context that Cummings has set.

He WANTS a Culture War because it's the Tories' one and only way of securing power. That's what Brexit was all about. Bugger all to do with the rational case of whether we were better off outside the EU. It was all about winding people up to swing a punch at The Elite. Cummings has said as much on his blog. After that they needed to keep fanning the flames. So the next target to be classed as Enemies of the People were those who were blamed for stopping Brexit happening sooner. Not the ERG and Johnson of course, but the Labour party and the LDs and the judiciary who stopped Johnson breaking the law on proroguement.

And that worked too. You still get people in here saying the reason we didn't get Brexit done sooner was because Keir Starmer is an enemy of democracy.

Now they need to keep finding enemies to direct people's anger at. So the next target is going to be anyone who stands up against Johnson's right to break International treaties.

It's all part of a pattern. Stoke the flames. Keep the Culture War going. Cummings and Johnson are mates with Bannon who invented that political strategy. And they are playing it out under our noses.

Thank Gina Miller, it was her case that made it obligatory for any change of law to be passed by an act of parliament
Don't think at the time she thought the brexiteers in the Tory party would have such a large majority  just a short while later.
Funny really, thanks Gina, although you may be thinking you dropped a right one now.

Hancock, Sharma and Shapps all abstained, three Cowards there, could n’t support the Bill but valued their job over the Country’s integrity, the Former PM and attorney general also abstained, Cowardice of the highest order
