Because John-Jules picked up a knock but hopefully he isnt out too long. Be pleased with Ennis and hopefully a midfielder as well I liked him last season but think we will get more from him if we dont play him as a 9.

Alan Nixon on Twitter reports were after Robbie Gotts on Loan from Leeds. He’s a highly rated centre midfielder

Tbf Hoden's article makes out we were at one point interested but have found a different target due to finances.

I'd be well chuffed if we signed Ennis and a midfielder.

Hoden says he's not heard of any interest in Ennis.

One option of course would be the sale of Whiteman to financially free up the cash to take both Ennis and Gotts in a shit or bust assault for promotion.

I wouldn’t call selling your best player to buy an unproven youngster to replace him and a forward that you could probably secure on loan “shit or bust”. I’d just call it shit!

Any more forwards and I think Fej might start to think " was this good idea coming here?"

Comments were made about his demeanour on his recent outings.  It'a alright saying DM putting his arm round his shoulder and explaining what's going on but hey, he was brought into the club to play, not a short term loanee.

I'll get my head bitten off for this...........

Or me.
The loanees do sometimes appear to get preferential treatment.

We have had problems with this before with loans, part of the agreement is that they always play if available. Remember that appalling centre half from Chelsea we were forced into playing, fortunately his name is fading from my memory, but the horror of how he played is still there....

Come on guys, Fej's form is terrible at the moment. It's up to him to turn that around whenever he gets the opportunity, and with JJ's injury, he might get the chance on Saturday.

If he fails to take that opportunity, then it's hardly DM's fault if he gives someone else the chance.

To be fair to the lad. How many minutes has he played this season. It hardly did his confidence a lot of good either to not be picked for the first game of the season with the loan players going straight into the side.

That is not part of the agreement and has been stated by multiple sources from the club.

Loanees come in to play because why else would we sign them? John-Jules got the nod ahead of Fej and has proved himself so far to be worthy of the place. Fej will get his run in the team and hopefully he'll do well. It is good to have options in positions, especially up front as no striker will score and play well every single week of a season.

Ennis played out wide a bit last season so maybe could be brought in to play there (we've plenty of cover to be fair in that position). I don't think we need him unless we can get a permanent signing of him, similar to what we did with John, he's obviously got potential at this level.

On Fej he deserves a chance now. It was really harsh to drop him after a good preseason for players who've been in the door one day. That's why i think people are concerned about him potentially been a bit put out. For what it's worth there was an article in the free press saying we pay more of the loanees wages if they don't play. So there is some financial incentive to play them where possible.

Wether they start or are on the bench they are all part of a matchday squad.
