Naive
« on November 21, 2020, 05:34:47 pm by andyst79 »
Our game plan clearly wasn't working 1st half and the playing out from the back put us under intense pressure from 30 minutes onwards until the inevitable goal. It was really frustrating to watch playing tippy tappy passes in our own area but once we got past the halfway way line it's like a hot bloody potato. I understand why we try and play out from the keeper but surely a bit of nous is needed at times as to when or when not to do it.
The only real positives I can take is Lumley's distribution was excellent and I thought he was our best passer, He played some nice balls into Fej who held it up well although isolated at times. This is something I think we should be working on with someone looking to play off him and put the onus on the other team rather putting ourselves under constant unnecessary pressure.

Fej held it up well?

Almost every ball bounced off him, the CB had him in his pocket

Okenabirhie's hold up play was awful today. Actually his play overall was quite poor but thank god he got it over the line at the end. Strikers can be forgiven for the former if they do the latter but he can play a lot better than he did today.

Just goes to show that if Whitman is marked  doesn’t get on the ball we struggle

I cannot comment on his overall performance as I did'nt watch it,but I have seen his goal, and it was  a typical LFW poacher's goal.

If he can score a goal like that every game and play crap for the other 89 minutes I would be happy.
Truth is though that isn't going to happen.

manager problem he picks the team  playing from the back does not work
we have not got the players to do that  need a striker and center  half  Wright is to reckless how many cards as he already had  we will be missing him unless they sort him out

I suppose if Wright does get suspended soon then DM will be able to play James at left back.

Wright and Anderson is one of the best pairings in the division.

We will be a totally different team once Tulloch, Taylor and John Jules are back. Mobile fast and that added composure in front of goal, hopefully back soon

James and Wright have both got four yellows in the league so are both only one from a suspension.
