...the most inept 45 minutes I have seen at least since Ferguson took us down.

Probably worse than any of those matches. We are utterly devoid of anything remotely resembling structure and a plan. Just unforgivable.

The lack of midfield structure in that first half was mind blowing. You don’t really see it as bad as that in the really bad sides at this level. No shape at all, distances all wrong then people would decide to go and press on their own occasionally and they just strolled through the gaps. The same can be said about the defence to be honest.

Personal favourite was around 10mins when we were attacking and Lokilo got behind them...turned on himself and went back running AWAY from the box, until we ended up back at the half way line. Commentator lad didn't know what to say.

.....and to think that some of our fans thought we had the best back line in L1.

Some of the players are definitely playing half arsed but the lack of structure, organisation, motivation all falls squarely at Butler’s door. I know it’s not going to get us back into the playoffs and according to SM there will be a new manager in by the end of the season, but I’d still replace Butler now with literally anyone with a bit of experience that we could get in on a short term contract. He’s simply not up to it and I’d like us to at least be in with a shot of picking up some points between now and the end of the season.

I just don’t understand. Players are judged on performance and stats and effort and attitude.
What does it say about these as individuals, let alone a team.

I do wonder if some/ most of the players have been told already they won’t be playing for DRFC next year?
It’s the only plausible reason I can rationalise these performances with.

Basically, we have a squad where as long as everything is moving forward, it is great. Loan players thinking about maybe getting a contract with us in the Championship, our players up for the same. Moment momentum slows and we look like staying in League One, nobody really wants to know. In fact it doesn't just stop, it goes into reverse.

But that ignored the obvious fact that we went out in the pitch without any semblance of a structure. That isn't the players' fault.

Draytonian I went to Torquay on a Tuesday night when I was 15 on mayfield or Avis coach Devon white scored and got done for twanging school and didn’t get bk till 3 in the morning so don’t doubt my history mate.....
