Team Selections
« on April 24, 2021, 10:09:03 pm by sedwardsdrfc »
First off, looking on the bright side, AB made a good decision picking Jones ahead of Balcome not just after the recent errors but long term it better for DRFC. I think most of us wanted to see this for a while

On to the moan, why aren’t Greaves and Horton getting game time ahead of players we know aren’t going to be here next year? The way we’re playing it’s debatable the experienced pros are any better.

IMO right now as a manager all Butler can offer is to play these guys who may show they have what it takes. That’s the only positive he can get out of this season now. So why is Robertson playing ahead of Greaves!

We’ve nothing to lose. We don’t expect to win or play well. The fact Butler doesn’t change the way we play to get a result, literally appears our game plan is to pick 11, shows he’s not expecting anything different so let’s try redeem something by maybe making one of our own a regular who can then offer us something in the big rebuild next year.

It would be the most Rovers thing ever though. In the Championship days, we'd turn over one of the big boys then lose to a fellow struggler.

Aye, and let's not forget that our abhorrent 17-game winless run in 2016 was ended with a comprehensive victory over Wigan, who were on the verge of being champions and hadn't lost in months.

With 5 games left and how bad they are playing, why rotate or rest players stick a bit ram together and give game time together.  They might do better

A double from Andy Butler that day!

I've gone lose in PvO but it would be very Rovers like for us to turn them over on Tuesday despite us being pathetic for the last 2 months or so.

Will be chucking a tenner on it.

Exactly. Beating Peterborough would be typical Rovers.
