My team for Tuesday

Pickford

Walker
Stones
Mings
Chilwell

Phillips

Sancho
Mount
Grealish

Foden

Kane

Give Foden a free role so he's less likely to be picked up by two defenders as soon as he gets the ball.

Dont mind that line up tbh apart from KANE.
He’s clearly not right and desperately needs a rest. Whether hes not recovered from his recent injury i dont know but he seems to be running on empty.

Mount is a top player. If you think different maybe footballs not for you.

Top player no doubt, but Kante carries him in the Chelsea midfield

Given Pogba is a different player for France than Man U I certainly agree Kante is redfining the Makalele role but Mount is as balanced a midfielder as we have. Especially with Henderson unfit.

Sterling put one on a plate for Mount eight yards out and he missed the target, and created nothing all night, also seen him  four or five times live for Derby and Chelsea all pretty indifferent games, where as Grealish seems to effect games every week for Villa.
He would be the one for me.

Shaggy, aren’t you on the “I don’t care about the euros thread” saying you would be only watching 20 minutes of any game if you found it Dull. Not to pick on you there are a few others moaning about the team who also said they weren’t interested.
you are right. I did not intend watching as many games as I have.

Not much to talk about …….. Kane is a bloody Donkey in this team……heavy, slow and lazy

The more you talk, the more you expose your complete lack of understanding to do with anything related to football

Don’t be an ass Dickos!

If you can defend his game then do so…..don’t just snipe cos you got ya fingers burnt on the non euros thread…. Lol ….at least ya predictable and unoriginal…

Fingers burnt?
No idea what you’re on about

I don’t need to defend Harry Kane’s game, he’s one of the best if not the best striker in the world

Would anyone else start DCL on Tuesday and have the front 3 playing closer to him & go a bit more direct? Have him win the balls and play off scraps?

Kanes not with it thus far imo.

I'd start DCL next match. Not so much that Kanes out of favour but we need him sharp for the next match.

team for me below. Maybe drop Mount for Bellingham just for a rest. Back 4 don't change and need to see foden play where he can get on the ball not stuck out wide waiting for Rice to play forward.

         Pickford
James-Stones-Mings-Shaw
   Foden-Phillips-Mount
    Sancho-DCL-Grealish

We've enough attacking midfield players that we don't need Kane dropping so deep all game. Rather see him go the other way and make space for others. Only works him coming deep if players run into the space he leaves but when teams defend deep that doesn't work. Maybe against a better team that's the tactic similar to the Kane/Son partnership really works against a high line

Not really true. Chelsea tend to play two No10s and use Mount as one of them. He doesn’t really play in midfield. Jorginho usually plays next to Kante in the middle of the park.

Mount and Chillwell are having to self isolate after being seen hugging their Chelsea team mate Billy Gilmour after the England Scotland game, the Scots say that none of their side came into close contact with him and all 25 players are available despite a photograph of the Scotland manager right in his face after subbing him in the later stages of the game with both hands on his face looking him in the eye posted on the BBC sports forum

Yeah I can’t believe that Chilwell and Mount have been deemed to have been in closest contact. All of the Scotland team were all over him

That looks closer than Mount was to him

There's a threshold of 15 minutes that plays a part in who should and shouldn't isolate.

The three players were in the tunnel together for some time before the game.

And the whole team wete in and out of the changing room in less than 15 mins? Did he travel on a seperate coach? Did he go syraight to his room to self isolate when he got back to hotel? Tested positive next day asymptomatic  so spreading it for how long before and during  practice and the game and next day? Very strange ruling regarding English players and the whole Scottish group

I think its been discussed that this was down to a 20min conversation in the tunnel after the game rather than anything on the pitch. I still find it difficult to believe that they were more exposed in that 20mins than team mates that had been around him for several days though.

It’s ridiculous
The manager was hugging him, they’ve shared a changing room, coach etc etc
