Permanent signings
« on June 23, 2021, 05:46:33 pm by redbrez »
Have been impressed  with the signings so far , guessing we will get 5 loans .
So how many more permanent  our we expecting ?
I think with the 5 loans we are still 2 or 3 permanent signings short minimum in my opinion ?

Still a keeper and defensive midfielder to find, to complete Ritchie’s list of contracted players.

Fingers crossed.

I think Ritchie wants a goalkeeper and defensive midfielder on contract

Another 2 permanent signings takes us up to a squad of 22 players. So, 5 loans will take us to 27 and then if anyone leaves, which rumours have it as at least 1 leaving, then who knows but I can only see another 2 permanent signings happening.

Some of that 22 are classed as development players, so don’t count towards total, neither do u21’s.

I understand that Alan, but with there being no u23’s again this season and RW telling a few of them to show him what they’re made of, it’s hard not to class them in that 20.

Well we’ve already sold all the quality players  we had without splashing out for a decent goal scorer . Wellens is building slow and steady with what looks to be promising signings …. BUT he’s still got a long way to go . He was critical of the  :byebye:amount of loans we had last season 7 , so 4-5 loans may not even be his target !!

Building slow? Not in my opinion he’s not and maybe 4/5 loans is too many but I’m just guessing, just like everyone else is! I’d prefer more permanent signings but in the current climate with way things are, maybe that’s the route we will go down once we’ve every permanent signing sorted.

Another thing is, RW has said it will take time to build what he wants and in my opinion, it could take him 18 months to get the squad where he wants it, just like it did SOD.

3 max I'd say for loans
