Been browsing a few vids online featuring the Icelandic clap/ chant. Used by Minnesota Vikings too.
Is there any reason this has never been adopted by Rovers?

The Black bank thread talked of a renaissance and successfully sollicited some financial encouragement from fans on here .Maybe the organisers would consider initiating the above in Blackbank ?

I too think this would work, lived in Iceland for a bit and went to a few games. But never saw/heard of it till the National team fans started with it. I believe it came from Scotland and was adopted by Stjarnan after they played a game there. I have actually watched Stjarnan at there ground (One stand, open on all other sides) (David james was playing for Vestmannaeyja in that game if i recall), id say there was around 50 fans there at most, no viking clap but with that many i doubt it would have been at all effective. We should make more of our Viking links as a club, before someone else robs it.

TBH, I don't think it would work - I don't know if we could get 3 fans to agree on timing and rhythm let alone 300...... it would be like this...

We have a drummer on the black bank, or at least did. A fool could follow it, and the Viking is a symbol inextricably linked to the club.
I’m amazed quite frankly it hasn’t been adopted. Although tbf It’s only occurred to myself recently.
We are yet to have anything like this that we can truly latch onto as a support base. We don’t even have a tune that the team run out to, despite a few feeble attempts such as the impossible dream etc.

Think some form of zombie apocalypse music is the only way to wake up some around us on the west, and then I wouldn't guarantee it. I intend to have a walk around the seats near me one day to see if any of those in close proximity actually have a pulse...
