Not sure what the future policy is but will the players have to be tested so often after the 19th July? No testing no positive cases no cancellations... cynical i know but we can't go on like this when everywhere is opened up on the 19th.

Have to say I'm gutted it's off, so fed up of plans I have being cancelled due to bloody Covid.

Many fans got to enjoy the Rossington game and Spennymoor was the only one near me this pre-season. Haven't been to a game in 16 months and was really looking forward to it.

Can't be helped but I hate the feeling of having things you're looking forward to snatched away last minute.

Does anyone think this the end of restrictions.. it’s looking more like denial from the PM as many will see it’s as just another stunt at all our expense !

Well me & Mrs LR got most of the way there & then read Twitter.
Safety first & a takeaway in Scarbados for us two instead of Spennymoors hospitality

I said the same thing on another thread, Alan, and was rebuked.

I’m no expert on the covid rules for football but the general advice to the public is that you have to
Self isolate for 10 days if you've been in close contact with somebody who tested positive. On this basis wouldnt Bradford on Saturday be cancelled to?

Are games likely to be postponed if players keep testing positive ?

You’d be better off asking Boris Johnson. And if he says no then probably.

Won't it be a case like earlier in the season where we had a bubble self isolating but we were able to play with the rest of the squad?

Possibly but given they have just been on holiday to bond I’d assume not but I don’t know.

Several members of the squad are isolating as per government guidelines but Richie is going to bring in some more triallists so future friendlies can go ahead as planned. Not all the previous triallists were able to go to Scotland so presumably they will still be available.

Rovers said yesterday that no other game will be affected by this, but it seems strange to me
