For the first time, I'm starting to think Johnson's days are numbered. This corruption stink is getting bigger and it's the sort of thing that might require a reboot.

And there are signs that the party is turning against him. In PMQs the Govt benches are normally packed with MPs roaring him on. Today there were massive spaces on their benches. That's hugely symbolic.

Then something I've never seen before in PMQs. An MP from his own party ripped into him over the rail line from Leeds to Manchester.

And subsequently, a right wing media commentator like Iain Dale says this about the PM.

Feels like the foundations are slipping.

This Randox thing.

Imagine this happening in a Banana Republic.

Randox apply for a £133m Govt contract without competition.

They are awarded the contract.

Govt officials then, as part of the due diligence checks, find out that Randox is incapable of servicing the contract and it is revoked.

Shortly afterwards, there is a phone call between the Procurement Minister, the head of Randox AND the MP that Randox pays £500/hour to lobby for them.

No minutes of that phone call meeting exist.

Shortly afterwards, Randox is awarded, without competition, a £347m contract.

This is the UK in the middle of the 21st century. It feels like some benighted third world kleptocracy.

Yep fancy wanting a person trained in law that has been head of the PPS with thousands of people under his control and knows how to run a large entity, if you said you don't like labour, a personal view it would make more sense.
