He says words fail him but has to use 86 of them in post number four to try to justify his original post.
Then attacks a blokes voice instead of the point of discussion.

At the risk of being labelled a disciple yet again, you would argue black is white if the op said black was black, your constant snide remarks are pathetic

They might be to you Filo but then I would expect you to say that.
Sydney will probably be along soon when he gets up.
It is noticeable that bst is becoming more and more outrageous and very often being pulled up by numerous posters for being wrong.

Have you ever thought people are sick of your little gang of cyber bullies, that very few respond to the gang, numerous posters being 3 or 4
Glyn. When he says people, does he mean you and I? We’re both people.

Thats about as pathetic as hounds little hand grenades, and a reason why some people tend to not bother posting any more

Filo, there are lots of posters who have caused others to stop posting.
I speak to people at Rovers games who have stopped posting because of what goes on on this forum and if I told you the names of the posters that they have stopped because of,  you would say I was lying.

It’s a serious point, Filo. I’m just trying to get to grips with Glyn’s nonsensical ramblings.

BFYP.

He wrote a letter soon after that speech in which.

a) He said of course he wasn't saying that Dr Who being a woman led to male crime. Which was interesting, because in his speech he went Dr Who is a woman...therefore no good male role models...therefore male crime. I don't know. Maybe he's not smart enough to follow the causal link he was setting out.

b) He said that it wasn't surprising that boys with no positive male role models could turn to crime. Which I absolutely agree with. The bit where I think his logic breaks down is in saying Dr Who is a woman means there are no positive role models for boys. Because that is an utterly stupid thing to say. And that makes me think he's not really genuine in saying he wants to address the root cause.

He used extreme examples to make valid points, much of which you now agree with despite being lost for words earlier.
You do that all of the time.
Dr Who, James Bond etc as women means FEWER male role models.
As I said earlier, the subject is worthy of debate, despite you telling ‘people’ that this is just another example of Conservative idiocy.

That’s stainy blokes for ya

I’m going over the bridge to Dunscroft in the Don Valley constituency to commit my superhero induced crimes

from what i've heard the taxi prices you charge  are criminal. Apparently you walk on foot on all the roads looking for potholes to drive into to nudge up the price on your taxi meter  !!

lest we forget

Used to pick some right slappers up in the taxi from their, going back to Dunscroft every Friday night, used to park up near the bus stop and nearly everytime I parked there, there was some young slapper dishing out favours in the bus stop, I even wound the window down once and had a chat with the lad while the slapper was seeing to his needs :)

As females are still second class citizens in most modern countries and had to fight to be heard, get the vote, get equal pay we could consider most problems in society and the world as being from the dominant male influence.

Shocking news of a 12 year old girl stabbed to death in Liverpool by a gang of boys.

It has to be because Dr Who is a woman. Surely? These boys are disaffected because of the gender of Dr Who.

Nick Fletcher is a grade A moron sadly. He's an MP. Didn't expect much else tbf.

My missus isn't second class... she tells me regularly - and she certainly doesn't have to fight to be heard.  She also votes, and gets double my wage.....
I struggle to assert my male influence on her - which is why I do as I'm told most of the time... :ermm:

Without a male role model you are in danger of falling into a life of crim :)

I think the main problem with Fletcher’s speech is that he naively opened himself up to the government bashers to ridicule him, and boy they haven’t let us (yes, that’s ‘us’, Glyn - decide what I mean by that but keep it to yourself) down.

There are two separate points: one is the idea that changing a number of characters from male to female will make young men turn to crime - I don’t particularly agree with that.
The second point is the ridiculously woke idea that James Bond and Dr Who et al are male, female, or any other gender you wish them to be.

The male/female character debate is an important one. Yes, people can use the argument that Dr Who isn’t human and James Bond is just a code, but does anyone actually believe that the creators of these and other characters did not care whether their characters were male or female? There are female Time Lords and female spies, just not these two.
When I eventually get to write my novel, if my protagonist is a short arsed, balled, alcoholic with a below average sized penis, thenI would expect him to look just like that in 50 years time when Hollywood cast the 5th actor to play him in the franchise.

For the record, just after my son watched Tommy Shelby and his shenanigans, he became a police officer. Make of that what you will, Nick Fletcher, MP.
