How are the indigenous Australians seen these days by the rest of the population in Oz these days?
I ask because my wife's sister has lived there for 50 years and she and her circle have no time for them.
The stuff she says about them would make your toes curl.
Do you ever pull her up about it?

No.
If you knew her you'd understand why I haven't.

Billy. We don’t need you to tell us this on an off topic football forum. FFS find somewhere else to massage your didactic,  narcissistic ways.

Who asked you to speak for them?

Who?

The 'we' who you think you're speaking on behalf of.

I suppose the ‘we’ is anybody who doesn’t need Our Billy to tell them how to think in his didactic, narcissistic way.
If that’s you, then your welcome. If it’s not, then why are you even responding?

No, that 'we' is you pretending to speak for the whole forum (including me, why is why I responded) as if everybody else has the same puerile viewpoint as yourself. if it wasn't, no doubt you've have said so at the time that you said it. As it is, you're just squirming now you've been challenged on it - even now you don't have any conviction in what you're saying because you straightaway are only 'supposing'!

Very odd. I'd have thought "anybody who doesn’t need Our Billy to tell them how to think" would have ignored me. Rather than direct a message at me when he knows I'm ignoring him.

Takes all sorts I guess.

But you are posting on here Billy. You don’t get to choose who responds to your posts Billy.
You do get to choose how you respond to them, though. Although you can’t seem to make your mind up what to do.

Remember, it’s you who is pretending to ignore me, not the other way around.

What the f**k are you rattling on about, Glyn?
Do you really think that I thought Iwas speaking on behalf of you and the rest of Billy’s sycophants?

I’m not sure what you mean by ‘said so at the time’. Do you mean I never responded straight away? If you did, then my response to that is I don’t have time for my fingers to stay hovering over the keyboard as I anticipate responding to your latest bit of nonsense as soon as you send it.

And I used the word ‘suppose’ because I was surprised you needed to ask me. But thanks for the lesson on semantics. I’ve taken it all on board, and completely dismissed it.

1. You were using the 'we' as if you were talking for everybody.

2. If you weren't, you should have 'said so at the time'

And I didn't even have to 'read between the lines' as you did with the OP in order make up a whole new meaning to what was written.

Oh I see. You are telling me (incorrectly, as I have explained) what I was thinking in a bid to tell me not to tell you what you were thinking.

Got it.

I was telling you what you wrote. I can't say what you thought about something you obviously didn't think about.

No, no, no, Glyn. You asked me to clarify what I meant by ‘we’. I was more than happy to do that, and made it crystal clear who I meant by ‘we’. You then told me I my explanation wasn’t what I actually meant, and proceeded to to tell me what I actually did mean by ‘we’.

Blimey, you are becoming  as didactic as Billy himself!

Well said Colin.  There is definitely limited selectiveness about who is thought to be worthy of feeling marginalised

The aboriginal people and the native Americans have all been harshly treated

It’s not only one group it’s all groups like you say. Who’s fighting for the rights of Afghan women or the Palestinians, or many other endless groups which in my opinion is far far worse than some of the nonsense being claimed by some recent headline grabbers

So because something worse has happened in another time, another place, we can ignore what's happening here and now?

Heard a few loud boos yesterday from a section of our fans on the away terrace in response to the taking of the knee.

I wasn't one of them but maybe they had a right to do so?

Sydney why are you getting arsey. AGAIN

I’m agreeing with you about how people are being genuinely mistreated and abused AT THIS VERY MOMENT all over the world. Being disenfranchised a lot worse than a lot of stuff thats in the media every day

People have the right to free expression and speech so long as it’s not racist or hateful

If people want to boo that’s their choice and their right

This is my point about selectiveness. People have been ejected from grounds and banned for booing etc

Why are their rights not allowed to be heard

I personally wouldn’t boo but people have the right to free choice

I can only repy to what you write phil, and I'm questioning your logic is all, it's what you do in the here and now that matters, that will make a change.

Not sure where you read all the other stuff in my comment.
