So, for those wanted new ownership, be careful what you wish for. The OAFC situation is not remotely unique, but it does show what can happen...

Do you bring up success stories of clubs being taken over, too? Bit odd if not  :s

Someone got ran over today, so stay in your house forever because look what could happen otherwise.

I don’t know what the stats would be, but if you took them over the last 15 years, I recon, and this is only a guess, that over all, new club owners have faltered. Unless a club is going to come in and Chuck mega money around, the case I see is usually short term success and then long term funding issues, reading, derby, forest, hull, spring to mind.

To credit, Brentford and Leeds have had success as have Leicester, wolves, Southampton to an extent. Newcastle I’m sure will make a success of it, as have Man City.

Wednesday have struggled, charlton, the list goes on.

It’s not to every fans taste, but a team ticking over every season with a half chance of a flirt with the play offs seems better to me, than short term success and the risk of long term decline.

But that’s just my thoughts, each to their own

Unfortunately its been going on for some time. I've been in a few meetings with them and I can't see this working out very well at all. When owners separate the assets from the club it usually ends in tears, aka Derby, Scunthorpe etc.

The Fan Led Review, if implemented in its entirety, should put paid to these things happening.
