...we've made a tactical substitution at half time.

5 of the last 12 games we have chosen a starting XI that has had to be changed at half time because it wasn't working.

During this past week, I'd love to have been a fly on the wall in selection discussions when the idea of how to accommodate Barlow at wing back up against Blackett-Taylor. What in God's name were they thinking about?

Devils advocate may suggest the first halves of the games you allude to were set up simply not to concede. And the changes were to then go on to be competitive.

I’m not playing devils advocate here. Or defending the game plans.

Just trying to make sense of the non sensible?
