Exeter City

Congratulations to a 100% fan owned club who are replacing us in Division 1. They have stuck by their principles and core values and after a series of near misses have persevered and have now been promoted. They have concentrated on developing their own talent either through local youngsters or recruiting and improving cast offs from other clubs. The money they have earned through sell on clauses and transfer fees is awesome. Surely this is a model that we need to follow. Well done Exeter.

Well done Exeter , but I don’t think donny should model Exeter as dont think are fans would be happy to sit in LG 2 for 5 to 10 years waiting for a good crop of kids to turn good , we should be aiming higher then this I think

I think we can all congratulate them and be very pleased that we won’t have to travel down there next season! Bristol will be our furthest away game if they don’t go up won’t it?

Yes it will be Crawley 224 miles from Campsall.
Newport will be about 197 via Ross
Gillingham  203
Bristol Rovers 190

Only looked up Crawley but it is definitely going to be the furthest next season.
Those figures are by road of course. As the crow flies it is different according to Google map and Newport would be the furthest.

Crawley was one I did on the supporters weekend away at Eastbourne.
A long way to get beat but a good trip.
