“A few closing words about Doncaster's fans. They were a class act. Whilst subdued for most of the game until those final goals, as if still reeling from the hangover of last season's relegation, they were super friendly before and especially after the game, gracious in defeat. A couple of them even apologised to me for winning(!), and one massive chap thoughtfully checked that my wife and I knew how to get back to the station. More than happy to return to the Ecopower again, notwithstanding the result.”

(I think that the poster means “gracious in victory”!)
