What’s the plan?
« on October 04, 2022, 11:02:45 pm by Jersey Rover »
Will one of the match reporters ask this simple question above?
The reason being, I have no clue what it is.
It’s alright blaming individual performances every week but as fans if you don’t know what we’re trying to do how can you judge?
No waffle, no excuses, simple question?

Definitely no pattern of play on the upside if we don't know our game plan the opposition have no chance till they work out we are crap.

The biggest problem is we are lacking a quality box to box midfield player.
This is making Clayton look poor.
He is a very good player & it is the team personnel that is the problem.
He has no one to give the ball to or interchange passing moves in the middle of the park. Consequently he is having to play it long to the front men or hit diagonal balls out wide to Hurst & Molyneux. Neither of these tactics work or at least very rarely do.
The problem is Biggins. Don’t like to make anyone a scapegoat but GM said he was a box to box midfielder. Well we haven’t seen it at all. He is far too deep when we are on the offensive.
Last night I think was the 1st time this season I have seen him run ahead of the front men to try and get on the end of a pass. He did but missed the target with his shot.
Neither Rowe or Tomlin are the answer as they are not the missing link we currently need.
Having said that if Tomlin had played in that 2nd half last night he would have opened up that Pools defence and I think we would have won that game.

So Biggins is looking like a poor signing, either that or GM doesn’t encourage him to be the attacking midfielder he is supposed to have been.

Please don’t tell me the players are not trying. Yes they are. They are making errors and yes the manager can’t control basic errors but I do think there is too much of a fear factor in the players which is causing some of the errors.
I just think the manager doesn’t know how to get the best out of the players we have. They need to be motivated to be more positive and not worry about mistakes. That will imo lead to less errors being made.

This squad is or at least should be top 3 in this league.

No more excuses now GM next 5 games 3 wins 2 draws as a minimum and let’s see us on the front foot from the 1st min winning 50/50’s and 2nd balls not just after we go a goal down.
If the performances over 90+mins don’t improve consistently over the next month then we must make a change while we still have a chance of getting out of this league this season.
Get someone lined up Copps because I fear GM isn’t going to get the desired outcome.
We need to head hunt, no dilly dallying. Someone in by 1st week in November, no later.

Someone in before Saturday would be better, then, by November he can have us organised and then be compiling a list of what’s required in January!

I can’t watch anymore of this non football.
