20-20 Cricket World Cup

What a brilliant performance from Butler and Hales
To knock off 168 without losing a wicket and 4 overs to spare.

Fantastic. Now let’s go on and win the final against Pakistan on Sunday.

Brilliant performance.  I somehow expect Pakistan to be a tougher contest the way they've come through the competition with things keeping falling their way.

Rain looks like being a problem on Sunday in Melbourne.

Absolutely outstanding performance from England. We made India look ordinary. Let’s hope the weather doesn’t spoil things for the final.

what happens if its rained off I wonder?

The team batting first needs to go for it in the hope that it will be decided by Duckworth Lewis

Play it next day but the forcast is worse than for Sunday. If not played it's shared

Wasn't enjoying Hardik bunging balls to boundary in last few overs.

Was earlier gutted with Kohli surviving LBW on umpires call. I reckon umpire ruled not out because he thought Kohli had nicked it onto his boot and probably realised the ball was hitting stumps.

Then on review no bat involved and hitting stumps so Kohli survived.

Needn't have worried though when we got going. 3 x 4s in over 1 showed the plan and good God they really lashed the ball all over the place.

Particularly liked the 2 for Butter which the fielder then launched to nearby team mate and way past him for another 2 for Butter

Roll on Sunday .... Let's get it won

Over here, MM the weather tends to lag behind the forecast timings.  Let's hope it works the opposite on 'tother side.

England 21-1 after 2 overs chasing 138.  Starting to rain too, looks like they're trying to be ahead if DLS comes into play.

Pleased for Butler. Justifiably his place in the Test team was under discussion for a while but he didn’t deserve some of the dog’s abuse he got. Gets his day in the sun.

If Stokes was a footballer you’d want him as your penalty taker wouldn’t you?

We got a big slice of luck with the injury of Afridi.  We were coming increasingly under the cosh until he went off.  Great battling win though with Battling Ben taking us home... again.

Was it 28 scored from 8 deliveries late in the innings?
It was becoming tense up to that point but super Stokes got us home!
Great performance again.

Yes .... they looked like taking us to the wire but that quick "cameo" (surely not an accurate description) by Moeen Ali took us to below a run a ball

I was bellowing "drop the bat on.it and run" and "tip it and run"

I then learned they couldn't hear me because the Pakistan fans were making so much noise .     Sorry HAD been making so much noise

Anyway we won but the nerves were jangling for sure
