I know we did ok in the end but I think him leaving us for the London suburb of Torquay was a bit of a sliding doors moment. That first season in L1 we missed the playoffs due to a large number of home draws that he could have been the difference in.

I watched his documentary on Amazon.

The season lots of our fans say he wanted to move closer to home…he says we didn’t offer him a contract.

That could be the case, if we approached him about it and he made it clear to not even bother, because he wanted to move on.
